So many reasons to live Smack
"My dog loves this food. I love that he actually chews it as he usually inhales his kibble. We are gradually transitioning away from his kibble to Smack. We also love knowing that we are supporting a Canadian business!"

Chester loves his Chunky Chicken
"A little goes a long way to excite this boy. Just 3/4 cup gives him all the nutrients and energy he needs. Nothing excites him more than seeing his bowl with his Chunky Chicken Smack in it!"
Food for all breeds
"My dogs rotate between 5 Smack flavours to give them the most that raw food can between the different proteins offered. I have a Great Dane a medium mixed breed and a senior shitzu. Great Danes have an average short life span. I believe with high quality food, free of carcinogens I will give him the longest, healthiest life possible. Previously I lost two large dogs to the same cancer. Since, I have read Dead Pets Don’t Lie, a real eye opener to the pet food industry. After a lot of research I found Smack and my dogs love it!"
My dog is a picky

Q&A
- I am trying to be a bit more precise with the feeding. How much does 1 cup of dog food weigh? I am trying to give my dog 700 calories a day so I figure that amounts to 1.4 or 1.5 cups to round out. But given the large pieces of food - hard to measure
- Great question, Peter! Using the large, 2.5kg bags as a reference, which contain 25 cups worth of food, this can be extrapolated into 100g of food per cup. The kcal/cup (100g) amounts will also be listed on each recipes respective guaranteed analysis, which will help get you closer to the 700 calorie requirement for your pup!
- does this food meet AAFCO guidelines for nutrients?
- Hi Petra, our recipes are based using a holistic approach off of traditional raw diets with added functional superfoods and not AAFCO guidelines. All nutritional information can be found under the "Guaranteed Analysis" tab on our website under each recipe.
- where do they come up with $1.84 a day to feed 10lb dog smack
- Hi Keith, the daily cost of feeding a 10lb dog is calculated by dividing the price of a bag into its total weight (2.5kg), then multiplying it by the amount of food a 10lb dog needs per day: 1/3cup (33gr).
- Hello, we bought our first bag to try today and I had a question about the feeding amounts. Do you break it up into small pieces and measure out the cups that way? We just fed our two pups this a.m. and the bag says it's got 2.5cups but if we break it down to 1/4 and 1/2 twice a day the bag would last maybe 3 days? But breaking it up seems like I can get a few more days so just trying to understand the best way to portion it out. We are going from a 100% raw diet to Smack due to it being easier when we travel but getting slightly confused on how to do the portions based on what is estimated in the bag of 2.5cups.
- Hi Kevin,to feed a more accurate measurement you can measure by weight instead of volume. One cup by measurement is equal to 100g by weight.
- is there any promo discounts on this ?
- Hello! We offer regular volume discounts up to 10% off for bulk purchases. We would also suggest subscribing to our newsletter so you'll be notified of all our future sales and promotions!
