Reviews

"Love this product as it’s one of the few my dog can actually eat due to her allergies. Wish shipping and packaging was a little faster as I ordered it 3 weeks ago and it just arrived."

Perfect for dog’s with allergies!

"My Cane Corso Hades has struggled with food and environmental allergies for years and he has done AMAZING since switching to the lamb recipe. Love having the dehydrated raw option for the same convenience of kibble and it being in a novel protein that he can actually eat. We are very active as well so the texture of this is great because it can be broken into pieces for training and is very high value so we don’t need to buy additional treats we can just use his food when training or hiking. Highly recommend!"

Sophie our 3 year old

"Sophie our 3 year old Havanese loves Smack especially the Lio Smacking Lamb and the pork and waits at her bowl a half hour before feeding time in anticipation of what’s coming. She still is on kibble which she gets along with about 1/4-1/2 cup of Smack which of course she eats first. Thank you for a superb product and I have seen notable changes in Sophie since I have been given it to her…. . keep up the good work"

My dogs can't get enough

"My dogs can't get enough of it, they go wild when I bring it out and I use it as treats to train them as it's the only thing that gets them motivated! 10/10!"

— Rachel S. (5/5)

He's eating it for now

"He's eating it for now and I hope he continues to eat. It has happened in the past more recently that he will initially eat something and then all of a sudden won't touch it anymore."

PICKY eaters

"Some of the pieces were way too big for our yorkie and mini Goldendoodle just wouldn’t eat it . Please refund . I have given the remains food to the shelter ."

Q&A

Can you please advise as to when the lamb for dogs will become available?
Great question, Nimi! We have some very exciting news to share by October 1st, regarding the status of the Lamb and when (yes, when!) it will be available to order again. We'd recommend subscribing to our newsletter if you haven't already to ensure you don't miss any important updates! We understand how well this recipe works for many pets and are eager to get this back into their bowls as soon as we can! Thank you for your patience, understanding and support!
Is this ever going to be restocked, my dog is very sensitive to all types of food and he loves this one
Thank you for your message, Tina! Yes, we absolutely do plan on restocking our Lamb recipe. We've closely been working with our suppliers to secure adequate sourcing, and are hopeful to have more information available to share by the end of the year. We understand how well this recipe works for many pets like yours and look forward to having this return to production as quickly as we're able to. Thank you for your patience, understanding and continued support of our family business!
Hello. The lipsmacking lamb recipe indicates it should be consumed within 90 days of “re-constitution“. Does that mean it should be consumed within 90 days of the bag being opened? Or does that mean 90 days within adding water?
Hi Shauna, thank you for your message! The 90 days would refer to the food being opened. If adding water, we'd suggest feeding within 24 hours as moisture may cause bacteria to develop in the food if left for prolonged periods of time. Our packaging requirements must have this indication on the bags.
I appreciate that you do not add beef organs in the recipes. My frenchie is allergic and most other brands have it in them. Your food is actually the same price as feeding frozen raw. And I love that Smack is Canadian and made in Winnipeg. Thank you for feeding our furbabies. Mary and Gibson. Toronto Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
Thank you for your kind message, love and support, Mary & Gibson! As a smaller, family run business, It means a great deal to us to have such wonderful, local supporters like yourself! We're always around if either of you have any questions or need anything at all!
Hello, I see dried yeast in the lamb formula for dogs. Is that nutritional yeast? Asking because my dog is allergic to that. Thanks!
Hi Kim, Great question. Yes, the dried yeast is a nutritional yeast which, as I expect you know, is a deactivated yeast. We include this as a natural supplement for B-Vitamins. Thank you for reaching out!
